The hospitality of David, Nikki and their children was exceptional. From the dinner we shared the night of our arrival, Tim's help with the kayaks and climbing at The Limestone Wave and exploring the caves, Daniel's joyful playfulness with the girls on our hike to the base of Aoraki/Mt. Cook, Rachel and Carolyn's great introspection on education and life in New Zealand, to our wonderful hosts thoughtful care. David and Nikki demonstrated the friendliness of the South Island.... And that is only the beginning. (David, my girls now eat turnips!) As we remember our stay, every detail comes rushing back. Do I dare say that we miss this adopted family and the beautiful country cottage experience? We hope everyone gets an opportunity to enjoy what we did at Aoraki Country Cottage!
