Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

“Congratulations on publishing the 2015-16 edition of Organic Explorer.

The book is a terrific collection of New Zealand eco travel experiences ranging from well-known major operators to hidden gems throughout the country.

It’ll be a great travel companion for anyone exploring New Zealand and wanting to hunt out the best eco experiences on offer.

I wish you every success with your book”.

Retro Kiwi camping like it use to be. We are not a 'branded' holiday park, preferring to stay independent. adjoining the camping area is a beautiful native forest covering 5h of the property. Enjoy riverside camping in The Glade or meadow, or one of our cabins, The Love Shack, Kowhai and Good as Gold. Walk the tracks to discover ancient totara, Kahikatea, Matai and natural healing plants like Kawakawa. We have a small swimming hole in the ever fresh Okuti River, as well as hot showers and composting/long drop loos.
If you don't mind 'roughing it' you may be pleasantly surprised at a our paradise location so close to the city. ideal for the start or finish of your holiday- only one hours from the international airport.
