Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

“Congratulations on publishing the 2015-16 edition of Organic Explorer.

The book is a terrific collection of New Zealand eco travel experiences ranging from well-known major operators to hidden gems throughout the country.

It’ll be a great travel companion for anyone exploring New Zealand and wanting to hunt out the best eco experiences on offer.

I wish you every success with your book”.

Braemar on Parliament Street B&B is located in the heart of Auckland, we recommend to guests they "walk the city" around all of the main attractions (such as the Auckland Museum, Sky Tower, Vector Arena. ASB Tennis Stadium, shops, cafes and restaurants) or use the public transport Link bus system.

Braemar on Parliament Street B&B is an elegant inner city Victorian townhouse with four rooms catering to a maximum of eight people. We enjoy sharing our knowledge of Auckland with our guests, helping them to make the most of their time in New Zealand.

We enjoy serving afternoon tea in our front parlour and sharing a glass of wine in the evening. Braemar on Parliament Street is shared with two toy poodles and a small cat (who wears a neck bell to warn birds of her presence). Pets welcome, contact us for more details.

Environment Friendly Action

We conserve heat We conserve water We employ alternative energy resources: wind/solar/water We recycle where possible We compost food waste We use bio-degradable cleaning agents We use reclaimed or low embodied energy building materials We use renewable natural furnishings We instruct staff in green practices We include green room info packs We mention green/eco issues on our website We participate in community environmental initiatives We use principles of permaculture and/or biodynamic method of farming

Other Environment Friendly Initiatives

Being in the heart of inner city Auckland means that wildlife conservation in our own area is a little problematic, as there are few native trees to provide sustenance for our native birds. However we encourage native flora and have our own self-seeded Karaka trees growing, pretty amazing in the heart of the CBD. Given that local conservation is difficult, we also support many national organisations that seek to conserve native flora and fauna.
