Amuri Estate Retreat is an elegant alpine retreat, situated between Kaikoura and Christchurch in Hanmer Springs. The retreat offers tranquility and privacy amidst a spectacular setting of snow-capped mountains in the winter and huge clear blue skies the year round.

The park-like grounds include an olive grove, small fruit and nut orchard, vegetable and flower gardens. Our philosophy is to reflect the surrounding high alpine character and beauty on our property while producing our extra virgin olive oil, fruit and vegetables in a sustainable way.

To find Amuri Estate Retreat, after crossing the single lane bridge across the Waiau River gorge, take the first road on the right, Medway Road. This is just before the Hanmer River bridge. Go 1.5 km down Medway Road and you will see the Amuri Estate Retreat vertical sign on the right marking the entrance of our drive. Go up this drive and you will see the sign of “Amuri Estate Retreat” on the left.
