Misty Mountain Cottage is set in a private wood surrounded by lush farmland with stunning mountain views – just a five minute drive from Manapouri, 20 minutes from Te Anau. Wake up to the sounds of native bird calls, no traffic, and best of all no other guests! Misty Mountain Cottage is the perfect choice for honeymooners and travellers who desire peace and quiet. Your warm and friendly hosts Hunter and Claire operate a 50 acre deer farm and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. Hunter has lived here for over 50 years and is a professional guide based in the Fiordland National Park. They can advise on local attractions and are happy to assist with bookings. The stunning Kepler Track is minutes away, as is Lake Manapouri and the boat to Doubtful Sound. For movies buffs, several Lord of the Rings film locations are also very close by, one adjacent to the farm itself.

Misty Mountain Cottage is fully self-contained and sleeps 4. Families are most welcome. This eco-friendly cottage has been built with your comfort and wellbeing in mind. It is constructed from sustainable, chemical-free timber
and insulated with pure wool. The tranquil furnishings and colours reflect the surrounding native flora. The tap water is spring fed and 100% pure.
