Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

Full Description

View the picturesque scenes of the Taieri Plains and surrounding hills from your covered verandah; enjoy a “country quiet” nights sleep in our deliciously comfortable beds.  Being only four kms from the restaurants and cafes, you could dine out in a different place every night.  Or as each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen, you could create your own favourites and dine on the deck enjoying a fine Otago wine as you watch the sun slip slowly behind the hills.

Barbecues and picnics are always a family favourite at the Lodge, along with outdoor chess, chequers and petanque.  We are dog friendly, and "Willow Meadow" has been created especially for dogs to run around the trees safely in a full fenced area.

At Longbourne Lodge we like to think globally and act locally, so each cottage is passive solar designed, and features double glazing and solar hot water.  We offer rain collected filtered drinking water and the waste water is reticulated for the gardens.

So why not spoil yourself and experience genuine rural NZ hospitality at a genuinely affordable Kiwi price?  We’d love to meet you.
