Taste Cornucopia is our cosy organic Cafe / Restaurant in the centre of Hastings. Cornucopia stands for the abundance of great local produce that we want you to Taste and enjoy in our friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Families are more than welcome and we have a special kids menu and play area.

We offer a wide range of cabinet and menu food, from a muffin and a coffee to the old school eggs Benedict, to a glass of wine with our somewhat more sophisticated Friday evening fare.

We strive to offer organic food. When we don’t it is either unavailable, or too unaffordable for us to pass on to our guests. Currently we are about 80% organic...that’s pretty good! We are totally committed to supporting our environment and community through using organic produce as locally sourced as possible. This combined with James' culinary skills learnt in the best restaurants in Europe and excellent coffee makes Taste Coruncopia the place to eat.

Taste Cornucopia is well known for it’s daytime cafe buzz on Heretaunga Street Hastings, yet it’s less well known that Taste Cornucopia
opens late on a Friday for their ‘Tasty Nights’. Every Friday brings an opportunity for head chef James Beck to further explore what’s possible on a plate and affordably share it with the Hawke’s Bay dining public.

Recently moved to Hastings, went there because of earlier comments - boring cabinet food selection and boring atmosphere - very basic decor...Johns bakery has more to offer all round. Coffee had an oily residue in it as if my cup was not clean!!!

Dito to Tina's comments. I love their Chai and it has a lot less sugar than the commercial bottled flavoured stuff. Their vegetarian food is exceptional. Child friendly with a lovely atmosphere. KUDO'S to the owners adn staff.

Wow I LOVE this cafe, the chai is to die for (made from real ingredients, not out of a bottle) and the service provides a personal touch unseen these days. A good selection of delicious counter food or menu. My fave cafe in the Hawkes Bay!!!
