What People Say

About The Book

I bought the book at the Eco Show and think it is one of the best investments of the year!

I have traveled through Taupo several times on business and given up on finding 'decent' food. A quick dip in Organic Explorer turned up the Fine Fettle Cafe. I had walked past it before in my search, but did not realise what wonderful food they served.

My mother, who was visiting from the UK, booked accommodation at Wharepuke in Kerikeri and was most impressed.

My wife has been on a course at Turuna college in Napier and I could fill her in on JJ's, the Purple Carrot et al.

I will certainly consult your book before making any business or recreational trips around NZ in future. It is such a pleasure to get away from the Mrs. Mac's and Burger Kings and experience the best of NZ.

Braemar on Parliament Street Bed & Breakfast

Entrance_1.jpgBraemar on Parliament Street Bed & Breakfast in Auckland City has been recognised as one of New Zealand's most environmentally responsible tourism businesses with its achievement of Qualmark's Enviro-Gold accreditation.

Enviro-Gold is the highest rating able to be achieved under Qualmark Green, a set of responsible tourism criteria designed to extend environmental and socially responsible actions for tourism businesses. The criteria recognises energy, water, waste, community, conservation programmes and monitoring.

Braemar’s green programme covers the full range of responsible tourism criteria, from water and energy conservation and waste minimisation to involvement in community programmes in wildlife conservation and heritage preservation.

Owners John and Susan Sweetman are delighted Braemar has achieved the Enviro-Gold standard. “It just shows what can be done, even in the heart of a big city”
