The Rabbithole is an all-organic private lifestyle section based on permaculture principles. We run a good-sized vegetable garden, a young orchard, chickens, ducks and an ever changing collection of animals. Accommodation is basic but comfortable in a double bedroom with separate entrance and own bathroom. You will join our family in the living space and kitchen, which is fully equipped. Experience warm hospitality and come home to your quiet nature space after the hustle and bustle of the city. We are located within easy reach of Wellington, the Kapiti Coast, the Wairarapa and Lower and Upper Hutt - close to Kaitoke and Akatarawa forest parks, the Rimutaka hills and the Hutt River Trail. Try yourself mountain biking the famous Karapoti mountain bike track, visit Staglands wildlife park or spend the day at one of the numerous beaches in the region - or the Wairarapa wineries. Book a healing session with our resident ChrisTian-Ra, a guitar or singing lesson with NZ folk singer/songwriter Sean O'Connor, or just relax in the sun. The Rabbithole runs occasional gardening and food workshops and regular music events and you can learn all about sustainable living from Natalie. Mountain bikes available for use, as is a large collection of books and games, free WiFi, movies - but no TV. Join us for evening meals (at extra charge) or self-cater if you prefer.
