The self catering accommodation Chestnut Cottage is completely separate from the main house. There is a fully equipped kitchen as part of a large and spacious open plan lounge and dining area which opens out to a large deck area with tables and chairs. The large bedroom area, which also opens out to the deck, has a king size bed with quality cotton linen. The bathroom has a large walk in shower space and quality towels are provided.

We have a large certified organic garden which offer seasonal salads and vegetables by arrangement. Eggs from our chickens can also be provided.
The property is smoke free and not suitable for pets or young children.

Please note too that there is NO mobile coverage on the property but a telephone is available from the main house when required.

Both English and Dutch are spoken.

From the south, turn off State Highway 1 on to State Highway 10 and continue driving through the Kerikeri roundabout, through Waipapa on towards Kaeo. There will be a hill that you will drive down and 2-3 kms after the road flattens out you will see signage on your left with Waiare Road Puketi Forest Manginangina Scenic Reserve. Turn left over the one lane bridge and follow the road for 8kms. When the valley opens up, continue until you see our green letterbox on the left with 2614 on it. Turn left up the drive welcome to our paradise Uenuku (meaning rainbow the bridge between heaven and earth).
