Full Description
Our homestay is located on an eco-friendly, privately owned, managed and protected forest & wetland reserve on the edge of the New River Estuary. We have been restoration planting since 1992 and have a zero carbon footprint. This is the easiest site in NZ to see fernbirds. Tui and bellbird, grey warbler and fantail are present in good numbers and can be seen while relaxing in the house. Our homestay is quiet and peaceful, a relaxing base to explore Southland from or before or after a Stewart Island trip. We are close to the airport Bluff port and there are shops and restaurants within 10 minutes.
