Welcome from your host, Heather. Fantails means tranquility, native birdsong and established trees of NZ and England. Peace in this exquisite sanctuary. You can even pick your own fruit as you wander through 2 acres of outstanding, botanical gardens.

If you’re looking for a retreat or sabbatical try our home baking and certified organic food! Ease the aches of the day away with a wonderful sauna or lavender massage bath with the sound of nature enveloping you. Ease back and watch SKY television before enjoying the comfort of a great night’s sleep.

Internet access available for browsing or checking your emails. Within approx a five kilometer radius enjoy the attractions of the Horowhenua such as golfing, bird trail, tramping, sightseeing and tourist attractions. Laundry also available.

Organic Meals

We strive to make all meals as organic as possible, sourcing like-minded suppliers, although we cannot guarantee we do our very best!
Breakfast
After a restful nights sleep prepare to enjoy a Fantails special organic breakfast. Heather, your host, prides herself in specialising and producing organic food, grown straight from the garden, which is then home cooked to the highest quality and taste.
Evening meals by arrangement otherwise a selection of restaurants are nearby.

Facilities

Homestay - The three rooms in the main house all sleep two and overlook garden and grounds. The Regal Room, Garden Room and Kereru Room are tastefully furnished to feel like an English home but with the mod cons such as Sky digital TV and wireless internet.

The Regal Room has a King size bed.
The Kereru Room has a Queen size bed
The Garden Room has two single beds.

There is Family share bathroom and a private bathroom with Victorian bath, toilet and handbasin.

Times Past Cottage is a fully self-contained unit with separate lounge, en-suite bathroom and kitchen and laundry (automatic washing machine and outside clothes line included) It will comfortably accommodate up to five people and is tastefully furnished with 1 Queen sized bed and 3 single beds, all with woolen underlays and electric blankets. Ensuite bathroom facilities.
All rooms have their own lock and keys and Sky digital TV.


Tui cottage is a fully self-contained unit with separate lounge, en-suite bathroom and kitchen. It will comfortably accommodate two adults and is tastefully furnished with a Queen sized bed, and a 'trampoline' sofa bed, all with woolen underlays and electric blankets and Sky digital TV. Ensuite bathroom facilities.



Restrictions
Non smoking. Containable pets welcome (dog run and spare rabbit hutches on site).
Children - supervision required.
