Set in the heart of the Abel Tasman's stunning native bush, Awaroa Lodge dining is a unique experience. Our abundant organic vegetable garden provides enticing fresh produce, sensational flavours and an organic experience to remember. Begin the day with a selection of our handcrafted breads, baked fresh every morning, and linger over a steaming latte. All day dining provides an enticing array of succulent premium meats and an extensive display of fresh seafood dishes, whilst also offering a lighter menu for those passing through. Here at Awaroa Lodge we pride ourselves on offering you a memorable dining experience, from the fresh hand picked salad greens, to the last glass of award winning local wine.

The facilities at Awaroa Lodge include: Accommodation - 12 Superior Studio Suites, 10 Deluxe Rooms and 4 Family Rooms The Harakeke Room - Venue for conferences, weddings and special occasions Superb creative cuisine in the Restaurant with all day dining. Outdoor courtyard and decks overlooking the wetland. Stylish bar and premium beverage list. Sea Kayak and Walk Guides. Wireless broadband internet coverage over the whole complex. Gift and souvenir shop Beautifully appointed for comfort and luxury in a natural bush setting. Each suite has a king bed and a comfortable pull-out couch to sleep up to three people per room. Spacious shower and/or bath in the en suite Private outdoor decks Views to Awaroa wetland and native bush Well appointed and comfortable. Four king rooms have a king bed Two king rooms have a king bed and a foldout couch bed for up to four people Four spacious queen rooms. Each has one queen and one single bed for up to three people Open plan accommodation with a mezzanine floor. Family rooms have three queen and two single beds, sleeping up to eight people.

BY SEA Marahau to Awaroa Lodge Travel Time: charter up to 1 hour Water Taxi for chartered or scheduled services Contact Abel Tasman Aqua Taxi Charter services up to 1 hr Scheduled services 1.5 hours Marahau to Awaroa - departures at 9.00am and 1.30pm Awaroa to Marahau - departures at 10.30am and 3.00pm. During summer there are more frequent departures. BY ROAD Nelson to Marahau Travel Time: 1hour approximately As there is no road access to Awaroa Lodge you will need to drive your own car, hire a rental vehicle or use the coach services from Nelson city to Marahau. Coaches connect with the Aqua Taxi at Marahau, where there is secure parking for the duration of your stay at the lodge. Chartered or scheduled coach services Contact Abel Tasman Coachlines. Other preferred Operators - contact Executive Limousines or Nelson Bays Shuttles. BY SEA Nelson to Awaroa Lodge Travel Time: 2 hours 30 minutes Scheduled return service from Nelson to Awaroa daily. Nelson to Awaroa - Departs at 9.00am Awaroa to Nelson - Departs at 2.30pm ON FOOT Walk the famous Abel Tasman track from either Marahau or Totaranui. From Totaranui the estuary at Awaroa can only be crossed two hours either side of low tide From Marahau there is a narrow estuary channel at Onetahuti Beach, which may be crossed at approximately three hours either side of low tide. To plan your walking excursion and estuary crossing, visit Land Information New Zealand's site for tide times. To access information choose Nelson at the port, and subtract 20 minutes to give you a more accurate tide timetable for the Abel Tasman National Park and Awaroa area.
