Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Nature meets nurture. Our secluded guest suite is luxury in a naturally beautiful setting. Best shared with someone you love, singles also welcome. No TV, just lots of good reading, music, art and birdsong with spectauclar harbour views. Overlooking Robinsons Bay, Akaroa Harbour, the retreat is set amongst gardens, orchard and native bush. Feel yourself relax from the moment you arrive.

Food is grown on site or sourced locally, organic when possible. Packages range from bed & breakfast to 5 course dinners, massage & vintage car tours. We'll create an experience just for you or choose from those on the reservations page. We have been told this experience can be life changing. Sue & Richard offer a warm welcome whether this is a once in a lifetime treat or a regular indulgence.

Organic Meals

All food grown on the property is spray free. We also use organic produce when possible however we are also mindful of the freight component of many products and ingredients. Guests are invited to stipulate organic meals if required. Most dietary requirements can be accommodated but prior notice must be given.

Directions

Take SH 75 (Christchurch Akaroa Highway) from Christchurch. After passing through Duvauchelle and heading down hill into Robinsons Bay take the first turn left on Robinsons Bay Valley Rd. Head 1.2km to the intersection of the valley road, Kingstons Hill Rd & Tizzards Rd. Go straight up Kingstons Hill Rd about 50m to the gateway on the left. Welcome!
