Bill and Marilyn invite you to join us at Tikapa Moana personal wellness retreat set in our subtropical organic orchard on the tranquil Seabird Coast, just a one hour drive southeast of Auckland.

We offer you a taste of classic kiwi laid back country lifestyle, with many quality recreational opportunities and some serious pampering as well. You can stay in our seaside holiday house or our natural self-contained rammed-earth guest apartment at the other end of the orchard. Our place is nestled between the magestic Coromandel and Hunua Ranges right beside the productive sun-bathed waters of the Firth of Thames (Tikapa Moana).

The fruitful abundance of our small organic farm, and the unique revitalising bodywork that we offer, will help you to create your own personal sanctuary of wholeness, peacefullness and wellbeing at our place. You will find us a welcome escape from the busy-ness and stress of everyday life… a place to truly relax and rejuvenate, and to experience rural, coastal New Zealand at its very best.

We welcome our fellow New Zealanders and our Australian cousins seeking a change of pace and scenery not too far from home, and we are equally keen to host those from far away who want to experience the unique qualities of our spectacular unpolluted landscapes and friendly, innovative people.

We have also just completed the new solar heated 7 x 4 metre watsu aquatic therapy pool, which is now the cornerstone of Tikapa Moana Wellness Retreat. The watsu, massaging spa, lomilomi massage, organic body scrubs and infrared sauna treatments are now fully in place to complement the organic orchard, vege garden, rammed earth house and holiday accommodation by the sea.

My partner Viktoria and I have travelled extensively in NZ - and the world for that matter - and seldom have we come across a place like Anapura at Tikapa Moana.. A peaceful location in an orchard by the sea perfect for relaxing and getting in touch with nature.. Walking through the orchard, hiking in the Hunua Ranges, sea kayaking, or getting back in balance with a healing massage or water shiatsu session with Marilyn.

We especially like the fact that we can eat freshly picked organic fruit and vegetables and get delicious eggs from the chickens roaming about in the orchard. What a treat!

We highly recommend Bill and Marilyn's little slice of heaven to anyone in need of true relaxation or simply to treat yourself and get away from it all.

Tikapa Lodge has become a very special place for my husband Paul & I. We 'stumbled' across it online just over a year ago and we recently had our second stay there. We feel that in the peaceful, nuturing surroundings we can just relax and just 'be'. It also goes without saying that we just love catching up with Bill, Marilyn and Maya.
This visit was different in that I had a Watsu session with Marilyn. I use a motorised wheelchair as I have a physical disability. I have always loved being in the water because this is the only time my body is 'free'. I experience alot of pain and more recently anxiety and tension which was affecting my breathing. I had never experienced Watsu before so this was all new to me.
The only word I can find to describe Watsu is 'Beautiful'. My breathing became deeply relaxed as did my body, the gentle stretching was painless unlike on ground, Whilst I loved the whole experience, my favourite part was being cradled - just beautiful.
Watsu is in no way intrusive like some other therapies can be. This is something that is very important to me because in my situation I rely on carers for assistance so am often in close physical contact with people and it can be uncomfortable at times.
For me the benefits of Watsu are indescrible, it was like my body knew this was the right way it needed healing, the only way I could become re-connected with my physical body again.
I am looking forward to another Watsu session soon. Thank you Marilyn, it was such a pleasure receiving Watsu from you.
