Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

Full Description

Aihe Eco Charters was custom built for small group tours in 2007.  She comfortably seats 12 passengers and 2 crew and provides superb all round viewing and great photography opportunities.

Aihe operates as a cruise boat and also offers a water taxi service to destinations including Ulva Island, Freshwater River and Port William.

Cruises vary from 2 hours to 4 hours.  Our Paterson Inlet Wildlife  Cruise is an opportunity to explore parts of Paterson Inlet's  vast, beautiful, pristine, intricate forest clad shoreline, hidden bays, beaches, wildlife including penguins and seabirds with the occasional dolphin and fur seals.

We offer a 3 hour Pelagic Birding Tour to view a variety of seabirds including, magnificent albatross, petrel, skua, cormorants and penguin species including yellow-eyed and blue penguin.  In season, we also see Fiordland crested penguin.

Our short 1.5 to 2 hour scenic cruises along primeval Freshwater River or Rakeahua River, help you experience a special part of Stewart Island hidden from many.

Your friendly crew will provide a rewarding insight into the area and wildlife seen.

We donate $1.00 p.p. into our conservation fund for everyone who comes on our cruises, seabird watching tour or water taxi service.
