Stewart Island is simply beautiful with varied ecosystems and wildlife.   Nearby Ulva Island showcases an abundance of birds in a primeval rainforest.  Choose from our broad range of tours: guided walks, hikes, kiwi spotting, bird watching, guided sea kayaking, boat cruises, water taxi and scenic road tours.

Small groups, led by passionate, knowledgeable Guides, combined with generous tour times will provide you with the best possible experience.  Popular tours include: Ulva Island Birds & Forest (4.5 / 8.5 hrs) - a fantastic birding and natural history tour, Coastal Highlights (8 hrs) - a superb day walk on the Rakiura Track, Kiwi Journey (2 day kiwi spotting at Mason Bay) - a great opportunity to see kiwi in the wild, lots of other native birdlife, plants and cultural history, more than just a kiwi spotting tour. 

 

Our highly informative 2 hr, Island Culture & Scenic Road Tour is a great introduction to Stewart Island.  

 

Explore our marine environment aboard Aihe Eco Charters on our Paterson Inlet Wildlife Cruise (2.5 hrs) or Pelagic Birding Tour (3hrs).

Booking & Enquiries: Direct Only (not through I-Sites, Visitor Centres or local Ferry / Flight Centres).  Please note, there is no independent visitor centre in Stewart Island.
