“The Perfect Day” delivers just that on a 23 metre multi-deck luxurious cruise out to the famous Poor Knights Islands where you can experience the dramatic landscape, and share with passionate people the stories that entwine them. An icon on Northland’s horizon, the Poor Knights islands are washed by a warm current that sweeps down from the Coral Sea; pending World Heritage Status, and complete with a diversity in nature that is found nowhere else in the world, unique and endemic species thrive both above and below the water. Eleven million years old and with volcanic origins that provide a myriad of spectacular cliffs, archways, walls, tunnels, and the World’s Largest Sea Cave, Rikoriko, the islands have a tragic and dramatic Maori history that will leave you awestruck. Home to the tuatara, the giant weta, sub-tropical fish and coral species, gorgonian fans, bellbirds, and gannet colonies, you can experience a unique biodiversity that is free from predators and introduced species, the islands are a complete marine reserve and nature reserve. With the ability to cater to every level of activity; from relaxing in air-conditioned-comfort, to sunbathing, kayaking, snorkelling, or even diving for the first time, with the utmost care taken in safety, and customer service. $129 includes mask, fins, snorkel hire, and kayak use, and our buffet lunch; departs 11am and returns at 4pm.
