Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

Full Description

At Earthlore we offset people's carbon footprint by planting species specific trees and plants in order to create habitat to conserve native flora and fauna (insects in particular) and we add charcoal to the soil to maximize carbon sequestration.

Environment Friendly Action

We provide a carbon sink and offer the opportunity to be involved in conservation projects in and around the Catlins

Organic Meals

We are currently building Bug City - a fun, educational display designed to get kids interested in insects.

At Owaka , take the road to Pounawea and then turn right onto Hinahina road (the road to Jack's Bay). Earthlore is 2km from the turnoff. Watch for the signs.
