I echo the above review by another Barbara and the one following hers. they stock too many expensive, imported specialty things and not enough basics made in NZ. Also, cafe does not offer enough organics, especially those without dairy. I'm surprised that their offerings don't reflect more awareness of healthful foods.

I went to their New Lynn store the other day and was surprised how well stocked they are now, shopping was an experience and the cafe was amazing, too. Nice tea range!! :)

I agree with ihearthuckabees.
A shame, because it could be so fabulous, and the products, customer-service, and especially reliability, are ALL so important. I've changed back to the Glen Eden store, and so has my whole family, because of all these reasons, even though we live just down the road.Osd

For a 'superstore' we find the shelves sadly lacking. The basics are often out of stock and the range is very limited. We are giving up on shopping there as every time without fail they have run out of or do not stock what we are after, 750 or 1000ml jars of coconut oil, stevia powder or liquid, Braggs, Red8 protein powder. organic cacao powder for example, nothing flash or unusual. We have had to go elsewhere every time, poor stock levels and variety are chasing customers to their competitors. Such a shame as it is our local. Cafe food was great but the flies were numerous and it gets very hot on sunny days in the big tin shed

Fabulous concept! I have enjoyed food and coffee, found my organic shopping needs here all in one place. Can even park right outside the door.
I also found East West a great place to give a talk recently; thank you Nicky for organising this.

Went for a visit, had a late lunch which was great, will be a regular for sure, just what the west needs.

Ive visited this place a few times and look forward to going again. From the Gallery right at the entrance filled with local talent, to the fresh produce awaiting my purusual, I am hooked and can feel the earthy friendliness before Ive even sighted or spoken to someone.
Im going to the café tomorrow to take a friend, try out the coffee, and to maybe to consider Volunteering to work the gallery. This place calls me, Im hoping the coffee doesn't disappoint ... will enjoy the cafes layout at the very least.
Cheers.
