Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

We are a Health 2000 store that also sells organic wholefoods, organic wine, beer and meat. We also have a certified organic kitchen from which we produce Agriquality preserves and package Agriquality food. We have a range of organic and non-organic bulk food available.

Open Hours

8.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm Saturdays and 10am - 4pm Sundays. We also have a store on the corner of Grey St and Gladstone Rd open 9am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am- 1pm on Saturdays.

Our main store is situated at 131 Ormond Rd, and our town branch is on the corner of Grey St and Gladstone Rd (the main road) right by the Town Clock. To reach our main store, when entering Gisborne from SH2, turn left at the third roundabout on Gladstone Rd onto Roebuck Rd. Drive for a few blocks then turn right at the next roundabout onto Ormond Rd. You'll find us two blocks along on the left, just after Ballance St.
