Garnet Station at 85 Garnet Rd, open 7 days 7am to 4pm, is a relaxed urban oasis serving the friendliest coffee in town. We use organic Chiasso fair trade coffee beans. But most importantly we make our espressos with LOVE. Ooo la la!

We also make our own fab food. including our famous sticky brioche, veggie melt and halva torte. If you are taking a break from caffeine you can have a pot of organic herbal loose leaf tea, a cool Elderflower Sparkle drink, or a good ol’ gourmet mince and cheese pie.

Connect with others around a shared table or read the paper in peace. Chat confidentially with a friend on the faux ostrich daybed, treat your loved one (big or little) to a lolly topped mini cupcake or demolish an organic bacon and egg roll on the way back to the car. There’s plenty of parking, outside seats for sun lovers, large lounge with toys for kids to play in and water for dogs.

Our customer service is second to none, if you aren’t happy when you arrive you will be by the time you leave. Children are welcomed, babies cooed over, grandmothers doted on and everyone flirted with!For an Auckland experience that won’t be forgotten...

At Garnet Station we are committed to the use of fresh organic products where ever possible. So naturally the coffee and milk are 100% organic, and because we care about what goes in our body we’ve extended that care to our community.


We buy our ham and bacon from West Lynn Organic Meats & our eggs from Sunset Free Range Eggs, we shop at Harvest for the organic ingredients in our bran muffins, we use real vanilla essence not imitation, the sandwich lettuce is more often than not out of our garden, and we compost the coffee grounds.

We use an organic coffee machine cleaning chemical; eco dishwashing liquid, cleaning products, and just a small amount of bleach to wash the floor every night.
 
Our coffee brand Chiasso, which is Italian for “to cause a stir”, comes from a boutique coffee roaster in Devonport, Auckland.
 
The coffee bean is an intensive hand-picked crop and the Oromia co-operative in Ethiopia makes revenue from their fair-trade sales that ultimately strengthens their community.
