Mohua Park Cottages at Tawanui are four independent energy-efficient luxury cottages in scenic Catlins River Valley near walks and river fishing. On a hill surrounded by 10 hectares of native forest – privacy, bird song, forest walks, valley views and garden. Environment-friendly features include: passive-solar design, double-glazing, solar hot water heating, extra insulation, self-contained water supply and sewage disposal, energy-efficient light bulbs and heat-pump heating. The cottages are designed for two people, however a pull-down divan in the living area allows up to four people in a cottage with a curtain room divider.
