Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

Full Description

Winner of Wild Tomato magazine's best regional rural restaurant 2010 and recommended by both North and South and Cuisine magazines, Riverside Cafe is a delectable introduction to the historic and still thriving Riverside Community (est.1941).

Our nourishing, delicious and beautifully presented meals feature house-cured wild meats, local produce, our own fresh, organic salad mixes, organic juices and café-baked bread and cakes. We also use fair trade coffee and feature local wines and a menu designed especially for the kids. Choose from our every-day menu or our blackboard specials, updated regularly. Vegetarian options are available.

Dine indoors or out - the café is set in a tranquil country-style garden with lovely mountain views and includes a children's play area, sandpit, tiny stream and goldfish pond.

Discover local artwork with Ché Vincent’s stunning copper creations, and vibrant paintings by Bonnie Coad. And our shop features selections of locally made crafts, pickles, honey and jams.
A unique and delicious ethical dining experience.
