Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

Directions

Driving Nelson to Motueka: Leave Nelson via Wakatu Drive and you will arrive at the lights at the bottom of Queen Street. Go straight ahead to the Richmond traffic roundabout (traffic circle), and take the right-hand exit - Highway 60. Drive about 40 kms (25 miles), to High Street at Motueka. Head towards Marahau. (Instead of turning right to Kaiteriteri, make sure you turn left to Marahau).
Motueka to Marahau:
We suggest that you stay on SH60 until the Kaiteriteri junction. Stay on the highway for another 200 metre, then take the next right-hand turn off the highway. It is well signposted Abel Tasman National Park via Marahau. Marahau is approximately 10 kms (6 miles) from the turnoff. Sandy Bay Road runs beside the beach and leads to the small village of Marahau, then veers away from the beach to the National Park entrance and public car park. We are located at the Kayak Abel Tasman Base.
