United Campervans are guaranteed to be under 3 years old, Alpha Campervans no more than 3 - 6 years old. Long before environmental issues became fashionable, New Zealand's United Vehicle Rentals was firmly focused on an ecologically sustainable future and over the years we have led the way for others to follow with initiatives that include a World first:

2003: United became first Motorhome company to achieve New Zealand's Qualmark endorsement, your assurance of quality.

2004: United became first rental vehicle operator worldwide to achieve prestigious EarthCheck Certification.

2006: United committed to annual financial assistance in the reforestation of Motuoroa Island in Auckland's Hauraki Gulf, home to several New Zealand endangered species and a Kiwi nursery. Thanks to United up to 30,000 native trees have been planted on the island annually. To date over 250,000 trees have been planted and United encourages its own staff and clients to take part in planting days each year.

2007: United achieved EarthCheck Silver certification level, with our 'Above Best Practice' levels in all ten indicators described by Green Globe as "a world class achievement to be highly commended".

2008: To date, we remain the only rental motor home company in New Zealand with EarthCheck Silver Certification.

Directions

Auckland Depot - 3 Kingsford Smith Place, Airport Oaks, Mangere, Auckland 2022. Follow signs to Auckland Airport, turn off George Bolt Memorial Drive into Montgomerie Rd. At the 1st roundabout turn right into Richard Pearse Drive, and first left is Kinsgford Smith Place.

Christchurch Depot - 545 Wairakei Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053. Follow signs to Christchurch Airport. From Russley Road turn into Wairakei Road towards the city. The United depot is a short distance on the right side, just prior to the first roundabout at the junction of Woolridge Road and Roydvale Avenue.

Hi United. My partner and I recently hired a 2 + 1 Premier campervan at your Auckland depot for 3 weeks. In this day and age where customer service seems to be anything but, it is a refreshing change to be able to provide positive feedback and thanks for excellent service. Our comments include:

- The deal, pay for 2 weeks and get a week free was excellent value.
- The vehicle itself is a very clever design, allowing us to maintain a permanent bed at the back and enjoy a separate lounge/dining area at the front - exactly what we wanted for the two of us.
- Service at the Auckland depot was first class, especially Eva.
- Our thanks also to other staff who assisted in providing answers to technical questions, and who took on board our constructive comments in a positive manner.
- Your list of service providers around NZ who could be called upon for repairs etc is a good idea and saved us quite a few hassles.
We were most impressed and will certainly be returning to NZ for another trip which we will look at doing again with United.
We are members of the CMCA in Australia and will be writing to the Association's magazine to provide our observations to other members who are looking at doing similar trips in NZ.

"Our booking was handled excellently, all information provided promptly, no questions asked. Pick up procedure was easy, fast and thorough, arrival time at depot to departure was less than half an hour. We managed to see more than we expected in 2 weeks and highly recommend the South Island wines!"
