Ahurei Adventures offer a range of unique wilderness experiences in the remote, rugged and beautiful Waiau River Valley of Te Urewera. Our guided trips include hunting, horse trekking, tramping and fishing.

As local Tuhoe we have been hosting visitors here for years, and have an intimate knowledge of the region’s fascinating history and life in this remote part of New Zealand. We provide a complete co-ordination service including catering, cabin accommodation, marae stays, shuttle, pack horses and vehicle security.
