Welcome to New Zealand at its Best

Organic Explorer has carved out a name for itself as a comprehensive resource for travellers seeking eco-friendly experiences in New Zealand.

Through its website and travel guides, it has provided travellers with an abundance of information about everything from organic cafe's and eco-lodges to nature tourism and Maori cultural experiences.

But Organic Explorer’s efforts have gone further than just informing travellers about the variety of eco-friendly experiences available in New Zealand. It has also helped raise international awareness of New Zealand as a visitor destination.

Eco-tourism experiences feature on many international visitors’ holiday plans and that will only increase Organic Explorer’s relevance to visitors and local eco-tourism businesses.

We could not believe this oasis right in the middle of the city. We had scrummy organic feijoas in orange for breakfast and feijoa jam, all from their own hedges. The organic eggs were bright orange and to die for, also with fresh herbs from the garden. There is a large secluded garden where we lounged in the sun listening to tuis sing. The overall philosophy of the hosts shines through and they obviously care for the environment. They showed us their worm farm . All the products in the bathroom and the cleaning products are from the Eco store and as I have a skin allergy I am always worried about soap. The eco soap was fine.
We also loved all the art and what a great place Ponsonby is. There seemed to be more cafes and restaurants there than we saw anywhere else in New Zealand. There is a great bus service that runs around the inner city so we did not need to use our car at all and in fact we walked into the centre most days. Most of all tho we loved Gerry & Sally and their staff who could not do enough for us .
