Directions
Location
If flying or arriving on a cruise ship to Auckland we can arrange for you to be met and conveyed directly to the Peace and Plenty Inn. Our driver will assist you with baggage and other formalities. Please let us know your needs at the time of reservation. The cost of this service is approximately NZ$80 per group up to a maximum of 6 people.
If driving from the airport or from points south, follow the motorway, Highway One, North (well signed form the airport). Cross over the Harbour Bridge and take the Esmonde Road ramp off the motorway and follow the blue direction signs to Devonport. As you approach Devonport you will pass the golf course on your left and reach a mini roundabout at the base of Mount Victoria. Turn right and follow the road down Victoria Road main street. Turn left near the bottom, in front of the fountain, into Flagstaff Terrace. Peace and Plenty is the first house on the left (Number 6) overlooking the reserve and beach.
The Airbus - an airport bus leaves from outside the arrival terminal for the city every 20 minutes from 5:00am till 6:00pm and then every 30 mins till 10:00pm. The fare one way is NZ$15 and for NZ$22 you can buy a return ticket that has no expiry date. Once you get into the city centre you need to take the Ferry from the waterfront to Devonport (Fare return NZ$9). We are 3 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, on the main street just passed the library overlooking the Windsor Reserve. This is a good alternative if you don't have many bags and you arrive during the hours the airbus runs.
Supershuttle - this is a mini-bus that will bring you to the door. It costs around NZ$55 for two people. The shuttles are parked to the side of the arrival terminal and they are usually available.
Taxi - this is the fastest way of getting here but costs around NZ$100. There are plenty of taxis in ranks outside the airport terminal, the door-to-door service is generally very good and there is no time restriction on their availability.
