The orchard and farm shop is situated at 1107 Miranda Rd beside the old Cheese factory, off State Highway 2. The property has been fully certified organic since 2002, first with Bio-Gro and then with OrganicFarmNZ. We sell direct to the public from 8am to 5pm and are open 364 days of the year. Our shop has a wide range of citrus year round, and apples, tamarillos and feijoas in the Autumn months. Summertime brings on plums and peaches. Additionally we sell heritage varieties of tomatoes, beans, zucchini, peppers, basil, and flowers from Christmas onwards. We also have a selection of fully certified organic jams, jellies and relishes, and a juice range including freshly squeezed orange, grapefruit, or tangelo juice, and pasteurised apple and feijoa. We make yoghurt and fresh cheese from locally sourced organic milk and we also stock locally made cheeses from Mercer Cheese. Find us at the Parnell Farmers' Market on Saturday mornings.

I visited Annie and Miranda Organics to learn and have an excuse for a drive out of Auckland on a sunny weekend morning.

The drive was pleasant, and when we arrived Annie and a visitor to the farm were making jam / preserves. Annie gave us a quick finger-pointing tour and my friend and I were on our way.

We saw pleanty of delicious fruts and veges, ate some. We helped to fix-up the net for the tomatoes, picked some plums (there were too many, and they were too sweet!) and went on our way home.

Definitely worth a visit.

Go Organic.
