Hi, You're receiving this email because {name} thinks the Coromandel Discovery would interest you. Coromandel Discovery: You will see timeless landscapes, ancient volcanoes and pohutukawa trees, and dramatic coastlines - all set against the backdrop of the island-studded Hauraki Gulf and the Pacific Ocean.  The views are breathtaking. PS most rental vehicles are uninsured north of Colville so let us take you for the ride.

Come with Coromandel Discovery to the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, a one day tour including transport and a 10km walk on an old bridle path above the coast.  Coromandel Discovery will collect you from your accommodation in Coromandel town, or nearby, at 8.30am, and bus you to the top of the peninsula over winding roads fringed with pohutukawa trees.  We may stop for tea or coffee at a local cafe in Colville if you wish, or we may have a picnic on the beach at Port Jackson.  We sometimes follow pods of dolphins or orca just a few metres from the road!

We will give you an informative commentary on the history, geology and ecology of the area plus Maori legends, and an overview of our very successful conservation efforts.  You may also hear some local gossip!

From Fletchers Bay you begin your 3-4 hour self-guided walk to Stony Bay.  (Or you may stay on the bus for the scenic drive.)  There we meet you with refreshments, and take you back to Coromandel town arriving approximately 5pm-6pm.

Alternative - a 3km (1hr) walk at Port Jackson, down the ridgeline and along the beach.

Bring -  your LUNCH, sunscreen and hat, good walking shoes, swimsuit and towel in summer, suitable clothing for the   season.

CHARTERS ARE ALSO AVAILABLE  around the northern Coromandel, just tell us where you would like to go!  We also own Breakaway B&B very close to town www.breakaway-bb.co.nz

Coromandel Discovery encourage all travellers to donate a kauri tree, to be planted by KAURI 2000 as part of the Coromandel's kauri forest restoration.
