By Car:
The Opua House is just three hours drive north of Auckland via State Highway 1.

• State Highway 1 from Auckland to Whangarei (approx 2 hrs) Remain on Highway 1 past Whangarei to Kawakawa (approx 40 min)
  
• Continue straight ahead towards Opua and Paihia on Highway 11.
  
• Opua is 11km from Kawakawa.
  
• 1 km past the turn off to Opua is the Roadrunner Tavern on the left.
  
• Turn left onto Ward Street (just before the Roadrunner Tavern).
  
• Turn left at the t-section then follow this road up the hill to the end.
  
• Continue along the Private Road. The Opua House is the fifth house on the left.
