Directions
SH1 north from Auckland to Whangarei.
- Continue onwards until the intersection at Kawakawa where the Bay of Islands road branches off,
- straight ahead, to Opua and the Russell Car Ferry.
- Leaving the continuous ferry (until 10pm). drive halfway to Russell (4 km approx) until Orongo Bay.
- The Homestead is on the right opposite the delicious oyster farms.
