Resting on the hill just above Omapere, once there you can’t see another house, allowing complete peace and privacy. The property has just over a hectare (2.4 acres) of landscaped gardens, regenerating native bush, and a meadow.  The house is designed to take advantage of all day sun and has 2 double bedrooms, each with access to a sundeck and great views. The living area is carpeted throughout and adjoins a fully equipped kitchen. The bathroom has an indoor fernery and passionfruit vine. Our outdoor bath absolutely must be tried (There is of course an indoor shower as well!) Electricity is produced using solar panels and is stored in 12 volt batteries. This provides power for electric lighting, but will not power standard electric appliances unless they are enabled to run on 12 volt. In addition to our solar power, we have a composting toilet and spring water, and are therefore completely off the 'grid' i.e. nothing comes in from the street (or goes back out).
