Description

Mahamudra Centre for Universal Unity, Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Centre stands for Beauty, Peace and Tranquility. The centre is situated on 8 acres in the inspiring setting of the Colville valley and is surrounded by rolling farmland and imposing hills of the Coromandel range.

Within walking distance are bush walks, a quaint cafe and unique general store, beautiful bays and breathtaking views. We offer daily Meditation and Prayers, Practice Weekends, Retreats and Courses, Personal Retreats or just simply Accommodation.

Buddhist and non-Buddhist visitors all welcome!

Directions

It is approximately a three and a half hour drive from Auckland. First you need to get onto the Southern Motorway, heading towards Hamilton. Then turn from Highway 1 left onto Highway 2 (towards Mangatawhiri) than taking Highway 25 towards Thames.

Pass through Thames and follow the signs to Coromandel, drive through the Township and then head towards Colville (27km). Mahamudra is clearly sign posted on the left just before you enter Colville.
